Uolevi's burial on Saturday

WINDHOEK, 14 AUG (NAMPA) – The Finnish national who was shot and killed here on Sunday will be laid to rest at the Gammams Cemetery in Pionierspark on Saturday.
The family’s spokesperson Ndapewa Mutanekekwa confirmed the funeral arrangements to Nampa on Friday.
She said a memorial service was held for the late Ronni Marco Kristian Uolevi, 42, at the Inner City Lutheran Congregation in Windhoek West on Friday at 16h00, while the funeral service will be held at the family home on Saturday at 07h00 before proceeding to the cemetery.
Uolevi was shot by the 43-year-old Rodney Shaningwa after Uolevi drove into the back of his vehicle with his Land Rover sports utility vehicle.
The incident occurred in front of Jokers Pizzeria and Sports Bar in Bell Street.
Shaningwa then got out of his vehicle, a white Volkswagen Polo, and fired nine rounds from his pistol, killing Uolevi at around 00h30 on Sunday, before getting back into his car and driving away from the accident scene.
Shaningwa was arrested on Monday and made a brief appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court where he was remanded in custody without bail.
A bail application is underway in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court.
