Brave Warriors local squad called up ahead of Senegal match

WINDHOEK, 06 AUG (NAMPA) – The head coach of the senior national football team, Ricardo Mannetti has called up a squad of 17 local-based players to attend a training camp ahead of their African Nations Cup (Afcon) qualifiers against Senegal.
Namibia will play the West African giants in her second match of the 2017 Afcon preliminary rounds.
Senegal are currently level on three points with Niger, but leads Group K on a goal difference after defeating Burundi 3-1.
Namibia lost 0-1 to Niger in its first game of the 2017 Afcon qualifiers in June.
With the 2015/16 Namibia Premier League season only starting in September, the following players have been invited to attend National team training sessions from 07 to 09 August 2015 in preparation for the upcoming match against Senegal on 05 September 2015:
Charles Uirab (FNB Orlando Pirates); Edward Maova (Civics FC); Tiberius Lombaard (Tura Magic FC); Denis Ngueza Tjetjinda (African Stars FC); Ferdinand Karongee (African Stars FC); Denzil Haoseb (Black Africa SC); Annanias Gebhardt (Black Africa SC); Dynamo Fredericks (Black Africa SC); Gregory Aukumeb (LHU Blue Waters FC); Benyamen Nenkavu (Tigers FC); Obry Amseb (Rebels /Black Africa FC) Heinrich Isaacks (Black Africa SC); Absalom Iimbondi (Tigers FC); Neville Tjiueza (Tura Magic FC); Joslin Kamatuka (African Stars FC); Itamunua Keimuine (Tura Magic FC) and Terdius Uiseb (FNB Orlando Pirates).
The players have to report to the NFA Soccer House on Friday at 08h00.
