WINDHOEK, 06 AUG (NAMPA) – The Government Institutions’ Pension Fund (GIPF)’s Board of Trustees has re-elected Advocate Ellaine Samson as its chairperson for another term of office.
The GIPF’s Chief Executive Officer David Nuyoma made this announcement during a media briefing on Tuesday.
In terms of the rules of the Fund, a chairperson of the Board of Trustees’ term of office is one year, with an option for re-election by fellow trustees.
“Advocate Samson has been at the helm of our institution for the last two years as chairperson, and under her leadership, the Fund performed remarkably well. We are, therefore, glad that she is given another term of office to consolidate the Fund’s strategy, going forward,” he noted.
Similarly, Elvis Nashilongo has been confirmed into the position of General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications of the Fund.
He was acting in that position since January 2013.
“With his extensive exposure to the retirement industry, Nashilongo brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to the GIPF executive team,” said Nuyoma.
