An exciting third round in the Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League

The Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League continued with the third round of games played at Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Stampriet and Windhoek on Wednesday, 1 July and Saturday, 4 July 2015.

The only match played on Wednesday saw a victory for defending champions in the Under 17 League, Windhoek Gymnasium, as they beat Windhoek Afrikaans Private School 33:17, during their encounter at the Trustco United netball courts.

Windhoek Gymnasium then travelled to Walvis Bay the next day where they faced the tough girls of De Duine Secondary School. De Duine Secondary School won the match 30:24, demonstrating that they are a force to be reckoned with.

However, the Windhoek Gymnasium Under 19 team were not to be outdone. They beat De Duine Secondary School with an impressive 50:12.

In Stampriet, Elnatan Private School had the factors of the home advantage, beating Dr. Lemmer High School, 25:6.

It was again another tit for tat scenario, as Windhoek High School (WHS) beat Windhoek Afrikaans Private School (WAP) 24:12 in the Under 17 League, but WAP came back to beat WHS 27:21 in a closely contested match in the Under 19 League. 

Both teams went on to score more victories in the Under 19 League, both beating Mokganedi Thlabanello High School, who have yet to score a win. The match between WHS and Mokganedi Thlabanello High School was a hard-fought one as the latter struggled to score their first victory in the League. WHS eventually won the match 38:36.


WAP beat the girls from Gobabis (Drimiopsis) comfortably by 40:27.

Edugate Academy scored two victories in the Under 17 League, defeating Windhoek High School 25:8 and MK Gertze Secondary School with an impressive 50:8.


MK Gertze Secondary School did not go empty handed as they managed a draw against Windhoek Afrikaans Private School.
