ONGWEDIVA, 31 JUL (NAMPA) – Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) has announced that it will continue with its financial and material support to the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) until 2016.
A media statement issued on Monday this week said the company pledged its support to the OATF during a gala dinner held at Ongwediva on Saturday to raise funds towards the hosting of this year’s fair.
The OATF 2013 will be hosted from 23 to 31 August at its usual venue, the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre.
The MTC’s financial support is valued at N.dollars 450 000 per annum for the next three years.
MTC has been the main sponsor for the OATF for the last 13 years.
It described the OATF as one of the most notable events which takes place every year in Ongwediva, adding that the trade fair provides opportunities to businesses and industries to showcase their products and services to existing and potential customers.
MTC said it believes the OATF this year will yet be another successful business exhibition.
“As a responsible corporate citizen who has a special regard for the growth of small and medium entrepreneurs, MTC spent in excess of N.dollars 1,5 million on sponsorships to various trade shows, exhibitions and trade fairs,” read the media statement.
Amongst all the shows/trade fairs which are receiving its sponsorship, MTC noted that the most notable is the OATF, which has grown over the years due to the company’s unwavering support as the headline sponsor.
Other shows which will also receive financial support from MTC during this financial year are the Caprivi Trade Fair, Eenhana Trade and Business Expo, Olufuko Festival, Gobabis Show, Omaheke Trade Fair, Okakarara Trade Fair, Luderitz Crayfish Festival, Otjiwarongo Show, Keetmanshoop Show, Oranjemund Diamond Festival, Tsumeb Copper Festival and Rehoboth Show.
