WINDHOEK, 18 JUN (NAMPA) – Standard Bank officially launched its 2015 Auto Show in Windhoek on Wednesday.
The Auto Show will take place under the theme ‘Childlike wonder comes standard at the Standard Bank Auto Show’.
Standard Bank Chief Executive Officer Junius Mungunda announced during the launch that the show will be held on 03 and 04 July at the SKW Sport Fields in Olympia, Windhoek.
He explained that the objectives of the show are to create a platform for selected dealers, suppliers and stakeholders in the market and to create awareness amongst interested potential buyers over a two-day period in a secure and closed environment. It is also an opportunity for motor vehicle dealers to show off their products under one roof.
“This year we are expecting 32 dealerships to participate in the show and they are looking forward to also launching new vehicle models and brands to interested clients,” Mungunda added.
The Standard Bank Auto Show was introduced nine years ago it has shown steady growth since then.
Around 22 000 people are expected to visit this year’s show.
Last year, 19 989 people visited the show over the two-day period.
Mungunda said customers can look forward to special finance terms such as an interest rate of prime less 1.75 per cent and zero deposit; as well as having a balloon payment of 30 per cent incorporated into their deal and having 60 months to pay off the vehicle.
“Based on last year's success of the Standard Bank Auto Show with a total revenue value of N.dollars 64 million I am optimistic that this year's Auto Show will exceed our expectations once again,” he said.
As it has been happening since 2011, the Auto Show will once again be hosted in partnership with the Biltong Fees.
