ONDANGWA, 15 JUN (NAMPA) – The Free Namibia Caterers (FNC) company on Monday donated two cooking pots to the Education Directorate in the Oshikoto Region.
The company’s director, Callie Mentz, accompanied by FNC area manager Marco Smith, officially handed over the pots to the Director of Education in the Oshikoto Region, Lamek Kafidi.
The company caters at boarding schools in the Oshikoto and Ohangwena regions since January last year. It also donated two similar pots to the Ohangwena Education Directorate last year.
The four pots are worth a combined N.dollars 178 000.
Mentz told those present that besides the pots sponsorship, his company also decided to fund fumigation against pests in school kitchens in the Oshikoto and Ohangwena regions for the next 12 months.
The pest control campaign is aimed at creating hygienic environments in school kitchens.
“We have also fixed broken kitchen equipment in the schools in our regions of operation,” Mentz charged.
Receiving the donation, Kafidi referred to FNC as a reliable partner in renovation and maintenance.
FNC also provided sponsorships towards the Oshikoto Education Directorate’s awards-giving functions in the past.
