Woman stabs man, flees scene

WINDHOEK, 07 JUN (NAMPA) - A 36-year-old man sustained serious injuries on Saturday when he was stabbed with a broken bottle by a female suspect, leaving his intestines hanging outside.
Namibian Police Force Public Relations Officer Slogan Matheus told the media on Sunday it is alleged that the suspect had a quarrel with the victim which led to the victim being stabbed in the stomach.
The incident took place at Kalkfeld in the Otjozondjupa Region at about 20h00.
The victim was first rushed to the Kalkfeld clinic, after which he was transferred to Otjiwarongo State Hospital.
Due to the seriousness of his condition, the victim - who was not identified - was immediately transferred to Katutura State Hospital in Windhoek.
He is said to be in a critical condition.
The suspect fled the scene and is still at large. Police investigations into the matter continue.
In another incident, a 26-year-old man died at Keetmanshoop in the //Karas Region after he was hacked with a panga several times on the head.
The incident took place at around 02h30 on Sunday at the TransNamib electrical workshop.
It is alleged that the suspect and the victim had a quarrel and the suspect then chased down the deceased with his dogs.
After catching up with the deceased at the workshop, the suspect hacked the deceased with the panga on the head, while his two dogs bit the deceased.
The suspect, who is 40 years old, has been arrested and is expected to appear in the Keetmanshoop Magistrates Court on Monday.
