WINDHOEK, 02 JUN (NAMPA) - The Brave Warriors will feature in a parade with their Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) trophy here on Thursday and not Wednesday as mentioned in an earlier story.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) media officer, Dan Kamati, relayed the change of date to Nampa on Tuesday without providing more information.
He said the parade would start at 12h00 from Soweto Market in Katutura, proceed through the city centre and the Khomasdal residential area, before ending at NFA Football House in Katutura.
The team arrived in Windhoek at 19h20 on Sunday with the trophy they won after a 2-0 win against Mozambique on Saturday.
They were welcomed home by hundreds of supporters at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
Namibian President, Hage Geingob, later met the players to congratulate them at the NFA Football House in Katutura.
The players and management will have lunch with Geingob at State House on Wednesday, the same day when they will start training for their Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier match against Niger next week.
