Nbc Analogue Switch-Off Success & 6th Phase Continues
nbc is once again switching off its analogue signals on 14th June 2015 in the areas of Rundu and Katima Mulilo serving as Namibia’s 6th phase of Analogue Switch Off (ASO). 17 June 2015 will be an international accomplishment for the country as Namibia reaches the ITU deadline with 6 successful switch-off’s thus far.
For viewers living in the areas of Rundu and villages 60-70km west, south and east of Rundu as well as Katima Mulilo and Villages 50km south and 60km east of Katima Mulilo, must purchase their nbc digital decoders NOW for only N$199. Without an nbc digital decoder, viewers will no longer be able to watch analogue free-to-air television. Nbc DTT Manager Ockert Jansen stated, “We have completed yet another successful Analogue Switch Off in the Otjozondjupa and Kunene regions. Loyal nbc viewers in all these areas geared up for the switch off over the weekend and ensured they had their digital decoders.”
