MORULENG, 30 MAY (NAMPA) – The same Brave Warriors players who beat Zambia and Madagascar will play against Mozambique in the final of the Council of Southern African Football Association (Cosafa) Cup here on Saturday.
Namibia will play Mozambique at the Moruleng Stadium at 16h30 Namibian time. The winner of the match will walk away with the trophy, gold medals and N.dollars 500 000.
“We have the same squad because we don’t have any injuries in the team and the players understand each other better, so why change the formula,” said Namibian senior national coach Ricardo Mannetti.
He told Nampa on Saturday morning that he is confident his players have it in them to do the job well.
“It was a long journey reaching the final but we are not going to put any pressure on the boys today. They already know what is at stake and we are going into the game to enjoy ourselves and come out victorious,” said the coach.
The starting team is:
Goalkeeper: Virgil Vries
Defenders: Ananias Gebhardt; Willem Mwedihanga; Chris Katjiukua; and Ronald Ketjijere
Midfielders: Deon Kavendji; Wangu Gomes, Petrus Shitembi and Denzil Haoseb
Forward: Peter Shalulile and Benson Shilongo
