DBN to visit Omaheke

Information session scheduled for Gobabis

 

The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) has announced that it will visit Gobabis in the Omaheke Region, to stimulate enterprise with an information session for prospective clients and stakeholders such as local authorities and entities engaged the field of development.

 

Speaking about the visit, DBN Communication Manager Jerome Mutumba said the Bank regularly visits the regions in order to make the Bank accessible in areas where is is not yet physically present. One of the mandates of the Bank is to stimulate economic activity in all regions. In addition to Gobabis' key location as a vital link in Namibia's transport and logistics sector, the Bank also views agri-processing and various SMEs that can create employment in the region."

 

He added that the Bank has financed a number of projects in the Omaheke region, and that additional development potential for enterprise is excellent. He went on to say that the visit will be led by DBN CEO, Martin Inkumbi.

 

Mutumba concluded by encouraging potential clients and stakeholders to attend the meeting to be held at the Kalahari Convention Centre in Gobabis on Tuesday,  12 May 2015, at 18h00..
