Two construction workers die at Outapi

ONGWEDIVA, 29 APR (NAMPA) – Two construction company workers died at Outapi in the Omusati Region on Wednesday when a wall they were working on collapsed.
Sergeant Hesekiel Hamalwa of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Omusati Region told Nampa three other workers sustained minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital before their release later in the day.
The deceased have been identified as Ndategelela Sheehama David, a 45-year-old woman, and the 35-year-old Silas Lazarus Nafuka, both Omusati residents.
David hails from the Okahao Constituency and Nafuka is from Okafitu Kakahala village in the Outapi Constituency.
Hamalwa said they allegedly fell from a height of some six metres when the wall collapsed at around 09h00 on Wednesday morning.
“The deceased fell on their heads, while the survivors fell on their backs,” he said.
The next of kin of the deceased have been informed of their death.
