OTJIWARONGO, 20 APR (NAMPA) – The servicing of residential plots at the Freedom Park suburb in Otjiwarongo kicked off last week Wednesday.
“There are 305 plots to be serviced at this new residential area,” said the Nexus Group’s Civil Division Site Agent, Gert Labuschagne on Monday.
He told Nampa that the digging of trenches to conceal sewerage and water pipelines underground is at an advanced stage.
Labuschagne said the land servicing that started on Wednesday includes the digging of trenches for sewerage and water pipelines, setting up of street lights and creation of new roads.
All technical activities on the site are progressing as planned, said the site agent.
Nexus has 30 workers on the site, while three sub-contracted local companies have 93 labourers in total.
The Otjiwarongo Municipality has set January 2016 as the due date for Nexus to complete the servicing of land.
Approximately N.dollars 28 million is expected to be spent on this land servicing exercise, Labuschagne said.
