Tigers ready to redeem themselves after UNAM draw

WINDHOEK, 16 APR (NAMPA) - Tigers Football Club’s (FC) head coach Bobby Samaria says his team is ready to redeem themselves after being held to a goalless draw by the University of Namibia (UNAM)'s team last weekend.
Samaria told Nampa on Thursday it was unfortunate that they dropped a point when they where held to a 0-0 draw by UNAM but they are ready to pick up the points that they lost.
He said his team is still optimistic that they will end in the top five teams at the end of the 2014/2015 season.
Tigers are currently third on the log standings with 45 points, following Black Africa at 47 points, and Stars at 56.
Samaria said he is however disappointed in the fixtures, as he feels his team is at a disadvantage by the fact that they will not have a day off to rest, while their opponents for the Sunday game will have two days off before the match.
He explained that Orlando Pirates, which they will be facing on Sunday, will have Friday and Saturday off after playing Rebels on Thursday.
Samaria said they have complained about the fixtures but as nothing has been changed, they will take it as it is and give it their best shot on both Saturday and Sunday.
Tigers will face Mighty Gunners FC at 13h00 on Saturday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
Approached for comment regarding the fixtures, Namibia Premier League (NPL) League Administrator, Joshua Hoebeb said they do not give any teams advantages and the teams could consult each other if they have a problem with the fixtures.
