Angolan woman raped and murdered at Omutemo

ONGWEDIVA, 15 APR (NAMPA) – A 32-year-old Angolan woman was found dead in the veld at the Omutemo village in the Omuntele Constituency of the Oshikoto Region on Tuesday.
Confirming the death to Nampa on the same day, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) crime coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Naomi Katjiua said the woman’s body was found with a stab wound on her left upper chest.
“It is suspected that an unknown person assaulted and raped her,” she explained.
The deceased is originally from Okaolo village in Angola, and was employed at the Omutemo village as a domestic worker.
Her next of kin have not been informed yet and, as such, the police could not release her name.
Nobody has been arrested in connection with the murder, and police investigations continue.
