Equipment donated to small businesses in Tobias Hainyeko

WINDHOEK, 14 APR (NAMPA) - The office of the Tobias Hainyeko Constituency donated material and equipment valued at N.dollars 338 000 to various income-generating activities here on Tuesday.
Speaking at the handing over, Tobias Hainyeko Constituency Councillor, Zulu Shitongeni said the goods were divided amongst 27 projects involved in, amongst others, welding, carpentry, the sale of kapana, and tailoring.
“It always gives me pleasure to hand over materials and equipment to project members of the Tobias Hainyeko Constituency. The business sector is the one that grows the economy. Small and medium entrepreneurs can employ themselves and at the same time create employment for others,” he said.
Shitongeni told the beneficiaries that they are being given the equipment to help them grow their businesses.
He said income-generating activities also empowers Namibians as it contributes to their livelihood.
