Martins-Hausiku is new MVA boss

The Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA) has appointed Rosalia Martins-Hausiku as their new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2013.

The board expressed confidence in their appointment stating that they believe they have appointed the right person describing Martins-Hausiku as an accomplished leader with a proven track record and invaluable knowledge and understanding of the fund’s business.

The appointment follows an extensive recruitment  process by the board  and subsequent approval by cabinet.

Martins-Hausiku who has been with the MVA Fund for nine years held the position of chief: corporate affairs prior to her appointment as CEO and boasts a wealth of relevant industry experience.

The board also extended gratitude to outgoing CEO Jerry Muadinohamba for his role in transforming the fund into one of the best managed and customer-focused state owned enterprises.

Hausiku holds a masters degree in business leadership from UNISA, a Masters of arts degree in culture, communication and media studies from the University of Kwazulu Natal, a Bachelor of Media Studies from the University of Namibia and a Certificate in finance and Accounting from Wits business school.
