Luftansa passenger dies in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 24 MAR (NAMPA) – A German national died in a Windhoek hospital on Monday evening after suffering a heart attack aboard a Luftansa flight en route to Germany.
The flight took off from Cape Town, South Africa earlier that same day, and had to make an emergency landing at about 22h15 at the Hosea Kutako International Airport east of Windhoek to seek medical attention for the ill passenger.
The Namibia Airports Company (NAC)’s head of corporate communications, Mia Davids confirmed to Nampa on Tuesday that the passenger, a 66-year-old man, died at about 23h30.
Davids could not mention his name because his family are yet to be informed.
