Angolan Boy Remains Missing After Crocodile Snatch

MUKWE, 23 MAR (NAMPA) - The body of an Angolan boy who was allegedly caught and killed by a crocodile in the Okavango River last week Monday remains missing.
The incident occurred at Mateke village, situated some 180km east of Rundu in the Kavango East Region’s Mukwe Constituency .
The 16-year-old boy apparently went to the Okavango River with others to swim and was subsequently caught by a crocodile.
A crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Kavango East Region on Monday said that the deceased’s remains have not yet been found.
The search for the remains by the law enforcement agency in conjunction with officials of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism continue.
The deceased has been identified as Manuel Armando Singi, who apparently commutes daily by crossing the river with a canoe to attend school on the Namibian side of the border.
