Man shoot, kills ex-lover

WINDHOEK, 22 MAR (NAMPA) – A 39 year-old Namibian male shot and killed his former lover on Saturday at Otumbatumba Cuca shop at Okathitu Ka Lyokoshandi village in the Omusati Region.
Inspector Slogan Matheus, during the weekend crime media briefing on Sunday, said it is alleged that Ruben Endjala shot and killed 50-year-old Maria Nangula Shikongo ,before committing suicide.
The incident took place at about 21H00.
He was found hanging with a wire from a tree at about 07H00 on Sunday, a kilometer from the murder scene.
The police followed his footprint from the scene. Their bodies were taken to the Okahao police mortuary for a post-mortem report.
The next of kin were informed and police investigation continues.
In another incident, a 34 year-old Angolan male national was bumped by a vehicle after attempting to cross the road between Ongwediva and Oshakati.
The deceased was identified as Guine Vincent Ehiuna and died on the scene at about 04h30 on Saturday.
He was alone at the time of the accident and the next of kin were informed.
The Ngoma police in the Zambezi Region is investing a culpable homicide case after 20 year-old Robert Simango was bumped by a vehicle while crossing the road between Ngoma and Bukkalo settlement. The incident took place on Saturday at about 20h00.
It is alleged that the deceased was in the company of two friends and was busy on his cellphone when crossing the road. The deceased was bumped by a vehicle and died on the spot.
The next of kin were informed and police investigation continues.
