Liquideep to perform at Walvis Fish Festival

WALVIS BAY, 22 MAR (NAMPA) – The South African soul/house music duo Liquideep is expected to perform at the Walvis Bay Fish Festival in April.
The event is also known as the Fishtival.
The Johannesburg duo will be joined by the Namibian Kwaito group PDK, solo artist Freeda and Elvis se Seun band at the Jan Wilken Stadium from 02 to 04 April.
Liquideep is composed of Thabo ‘Ryzor’ Shokgolo, a DJ and producer and Jonathan ‘Ziyon’ Hamilton a vocalist, songwriter and producer.
A press statement issued here Friday by Communications Officer at the municipality Anita Kaihiva, indicates that visitors should expect sea food dishes, traditional fish recipes, kids entertainment, arts and crafts and culinary competition
Last year, the public relations and customer service manager in the Walvis Bay Municipality, Kevin Adams said the event is intended to market the town and attract investors for economic growth and employment creation.
He said the fishtival also promotes tourism in this fast-growing coastal town.
Miss Fishtival beauty pageant, karaoke, and cooking competitions, where winners would receive cash prizes are also expected.
Other activities include football and rugby tournaments.
