Kenatjirionga Muharukua has died

WINDHOEK, 10 MAR (NAMPA) – Kenatjironga Muharukua, the special advisor of Kunene regional governor Joshua //Hoebeb, has died.
He was the husband of Deputy Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare Angelika Muharukua.
Kenatjironga died on Sunday evening.
The governor confirmed the death to Nampa on Tuesday evening, saying: “Yes it is true, Muharukua has passed on and this is indeed a sad occasion for his family and the Kunene Region”.
Information on the cause of Kenatjironga's death is still sketchy but the Kunene Governor said the incident involves water.
Unconfirmed reports have it that Kenatjironga drove his car into a flooding river in Opuwo on Sunday and was swept away.
His body was only discovered Monday morning.
The Minister of Safety and Security Immanuel Ngatjizeko, Fisheries and Marine Resources Minister Bernard Esau, as well as Environment and Tourism Minister Uahekua Herunga are some of the senior Government officials who have already visited the Muharukua residence in Windhoek’s Hochlandpark to offer their condolences.
