WINDHOEK, 02 MAR (NAMPA) ? A businessperson who owned Hoodia Lodge and game farm was murdered by unknown suspects at his business last week. Reinhard Schmidt, 76, was found dead by one of his workers at his home on the lodge on Friday. Namibian Police Force (NamPol)?s spokesperson Inspector Slogan Matheus told a media briefing here on Sunday that the murder incident might have happened between 26 and 27 February 2015, as the deceased last spoke to his wife who is in Germany on Thursday. He said the deceased?s lifeless body was discovered with his arms tied behind his back and his mouth and nose taped with duck tape. Police suspect that it was a case of robbery and are investigating all the items that might have been stolen from the lodge. ?So far, we can confirm that a flat screen television, a revolver and a rifle were taken from the house,? Matheus said. He further added that evidence of footprints that went up to the main road from the lodge show that there was more than one suspect involved.
