SUBMISSION OF CURRICULUM VITAE (CVs) OF THE 77 SWAPO PARTY MEMBERS ELECTED TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

On December 16, 2014, I wrote a letter to the SWAPO Party Secretary General, Comrade Nangolo Mbumba, in which I asked for his assistance in helping me obtain the CV’s of all 77 SWAPO Party members who were elected to the National Assembly following the 2014 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The historic mandate given to the SWAPO Party by the people is indicative of the fact that now, more than ever, there is an unprecedented level of expectation for the incoming President and the members of his Cabinet to perform at a high level and take the nation towards economic prosperity.

It is for this reason that I requested for the members’ CV’s in order for me to gauge their respective qualifications, competencies, skills and aptitudes, so that they may be deployed in a manner, which will make full use of their individual talents.

I therefore would like to thank the Secretary General of the SWAPO Party and all those members who have answered this urgent call by submitting their CV’s timeously.

However, there are still a number of CV’s outstanding and this means that the process of analyzing the qualifications and skills of the SWAPO Party National Assembly members is being hampered. Laxity of officials has, and will continue to be the Achilles Heel of many administrations which cannot be tolerated. We are at a crucial stage in our democracy and cannot afford to delay matters. It is therefore incumbent for those involved in this process to see to it that important matters, such as this one, are treated with the utmost urgency.

I therefore urge the following SWAPO Party members elected to the National Assembly to submit their CV’s without delay:

1. Cde Bernhardt Esau
2. Cde Alpheus !Naruseb
3. Cde Anna Shiweda
4. Cde Peter Katjavivi
5. Cde Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila
6. Cde Errki Nghimtina
7. Cde Anna Hipondoka
8. Cde Sophia Swartz
9. Cde Faustina Caley
10. Cde Marina Kandume
