MoHSS educates youth on HIV/Aids (Video)

WINDHOEK, 16 FEB (NAMPA) - The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) held a HIV/Aids awareness campaign in the Okahandja park informal settlement the capital on Friday.
The event was aimed towards the sexually-active members of society, especially those between 15 and 49 years old, in order to educate them on the impact of the disease, while urging them to get tested and know their HIV statuses.
MoHSS Liaison Officer Pinehas Iipinge told Nampa on the side lines of the event that it is part of the ministry’s agenda to educate the nation on the importance of knowing their HIV statuses.
He then called upon couples to get tested together and to seek counseling if need be.
Testing and counseling services are offered at most health centres, hospitals, clinics, and New Start Centres.
The Equipped Dance Academy presented some fine dance moves and performed role plays to educate and entertain the crowd.
