WINDHOEK, 07 FEB (NAMPA) – President Hifikepunye Pohamba on Friday expressed dissatisfaction in his staff for not singing the national anthem.
“I am very disappointed for the first time to see members of the Office of the President not knowing how to sing the national anthem,” said the president during the first staff meeting for the year.
Pohamba said he was watching them during the national anthem session, saying that some personnel did not even stand up straight.
“This is very disappointing,” the president said.
This was his first communication before giving his keynote address.
Meanwhile, Pohamba used the opportunity to introduce the President-elect, Dr Hage Geingob to the staff of the Office of the President.
Geingob will take over as Namibian president in the less than six weeks.
