WINDHOEK, 02 FEB (NAMPA) – The Okahandja Town Council’S management committee appointed Berem Kaurimuje as the acting Chief Executive Officer of the municipality.
The chairperson of the Management Committee (MC), Samson Mieze told Nampa upon enquiry on Monday that the MC made the decision last week Friday to appoint an acting CEO after former CEO Frans Enkali exited the municipality.
He said Kaurimuje will be the acting CEO for the next three months, starting on the 2nd of February until the end of May 2015.
Mieze said the town council is certain that the acting CEO will be able to carry out his duties as he is familiar with the municipality’s dealings derived from the experience he gained when he headed the electricity department there previously.
An MC meeting is also scheduled to discuss issues which need addressing regarding the town of Okahandja this week.
The vacant position for a CEO is still to be advertised.
