SINGAPORE, July 16 (Bernama) -- Honeywell Aerospace sees positive growth prospects for its business in Asia Pacific and specifically in Malaysia, says Briand Greer, President, Honeywell Aerospace Asia Pacific.

Malaysia houses Honeywell global avionics manufacturing facility in Penang.

He said Asia Pacific was growing quickly, with China growing at seven to eight per cent and Southeast Asia at five to six per cent.

"Our target growth for any country or a developing country (is) not just in Asia Pacific but globally, we always target to grow two times the GDP growth.

"If you look at Malaysia right now, different authorities have different figures, but if you check the figure of five-and-a-half to six per cent growth, which I think is fairly consistent, we will be looking to 11 to 12 per cent growth in Malaysia this year.

"I think we are on track to do that in places that we think we might be," he told Bernama in a telephone interview today.

Honeywell Aerospace is dedicated to delivering exceptional products, services and support for customers in the Asia Pacific region.

"With a dedicated focus, Honeywell applies the industry's leading expertise to meet the broad needs of aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations.

In Asia Pacific, the company operates facilities in five countries and support locations in 11 countries and regions.
