KOTA BAHARU, July 16 (Bernama) -- Kelantan police busted two drug syndicates and seized drugs worth about RM155,200, believed to be one of the biggest seizure in the state, after carrying out three raids in Tanah Merah and Gua Musang on Sunday.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said during the raids 235 Eramin 5 pills, 50 bottles of heroin, 37 Methamphetamine pills, two packets of syabu and several straws containing drugs were seized.

"We seized drugs worth about RM155,200, cash RM52,000, four cars and a motorcycle (all worth RM128,000), and a .38 revolver that was loaded with two bullets, after the raids," he told reporters at the Kelantan police headquarters, here, today.

Police also detained eight suspects, aged between 17 and 37, including a school student, aged 17, he said.

Jalaluddin said during the first raid carried out at 8.30pm on Sunday in a house in Taman Desa Melati, Kampung Kubang Gali, Tanah Merah, police detained four suspects, aged between 24 and 37.



Two of them were from Terengganu, one from Negeri Sembilan and the other from Kelantan.

"A 37-year-old suspect is believed to be the mastermind of the syndicate known as 'Yo' and believed to have been active in Terengganu. The suspect has 10 previous criminal records and was banished in 2010 before being sent to a rehab centre in Machang. He was discharged from the centre last year.

"In a follow up raid at 5.10pm, police detained a 19-year-old from Kusial, Tanah Merah and seized drugs worth RM152,000 and a motorcycle," he said.

In the third raid at the Rancangan Kemajuan Tanah (RKT) Renoh Baharu, Gua Musang, police detained two suspects, (one from Pahang and another from Kelantan) and seized a plastic packet of syabu, a straw containing syabu, a Methamphetamine pill and a revolver that was loaded with two bullets.
