Man succumb to accident injuries at Okakarara

OTJIWARONGO, 18 JAN (NAMPA) A 24-year-old man died on Friday evening at the Okakarara State Hospital shortly after he was involved in a car accident on the Okakarara road.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)s Otjozondjupa Regional Public Relations Officer, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha identified the deceased as Ludwig Teebogo Mogotsi from Windhoek.
His close relatives have already been informed of his death, said the police spokesperson here.
Mbeha told Nampa in an interview on Sunday that there were three occupants in a Land Rover that was coming from Windhoek to Okakarara that Friday evening.
At approximately 20 kilometres (km) before Okakarara in the Otjozondjupa Region, the driver allegedly bumped into a Kudu and lost control over the vehicle.
The vehicle then overturned several times causing body injuries to all three occupants.
Mogotsi succumb to the injuries at the hospital, while the 42-year-old driver who sustained back and head injuries was transferred to the Katutura State Hospital in the capital in a serious but stable condition.
The other 44-year-old passenger in the same vehicle is still admitted at the Okakarara State Hospital.
Police investigations continue.
