DOHA, July 16 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has unveiled models of Qatar future mosques within the framework of the Ministry's Ramadan tent activities, set up next to the mosque of Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab here, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

In a statement to reporters after revealing the designs in the courtyard of the mosque of Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, said the future mosques reflect part of the authenticity underscored by Qatar National Vision 2030, with their designs taking into account Qatar Islamic heritage and the preservation of the environment.

He expected that construction of the mosques to start soon, either through donors or the state.

"Designs are available to any donor as long as the model is compatible with the allocated land," Al Kuwari said, pointing out that the state is pushing ahead with the construction of mosques in different areas of the state.
