KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were mixed in early trade today, with lack of interest seen in selected bluechips, dealers said. At 9 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) opened 1.13 points lower at 1,785.54, and slipped 0.96 points to 1,785.71 at 9.03 am. However, market breadth was positive, with 108 gainers and 49 losers, while 100 counters were unchanged, 1,319 untraded and 30 others suspended. Turnover stood at 34.052 million shares worth RM29.23 million. A dealer said investors remained sidelined as they await fresh leads to take positions in the market. On the scoreboard, the Plantation Index fell 6.93 points to 8,489.99, the Industrial Index lost 5.43 points to 3,011.95, while the Finance Index rose 11.61 points to 17,087.83. The FBM Emas Index increased 0.81 of a point to 12,442.13, the FBM 70 Index rose 15 points to 14,302.85, and the FBM ACE Index improved 48.96 points to 4,853.41, while the FBMT100 declined 2.26 points to 12,182.01. Among actives, Luster Industries rose half-a-sen to 10.5 sen, Scomi Energy added four sen to 88 sen, while Flonic Hi-Tec was flat at 10.5 sen. As for heavyweights, Maybank was unchanged at RM10.50, CIMB gained one sen to RM8.36, while Axiata lost one sen to RM6.78. -- BERNAMA
