75 die in road accidents

Seventy Five people perished in road carnage during the festive season, the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has confirmed.

MVA Chief Executive Office Rosalia Martins Hausiku revealed  at a press briefing this week that the hype of the festive season saw the country recording 498 road accidents.

Martins Hausiku also added that 980 road accident victims sustained injuries of various degrees.

According to the MVA the bulk of the accidents occurred in the Khomas Region with the Oshana, Erongo and Otjizondupa Regions making up the remainder respectively.
