BANGKOK, July 15 (Bernama) -- CIMB Thai Bank plc is confident of achieving a loan growth of up to 25 per cent this year.
Its President/Chief Executive Officer, Subhak Siwaraksa, said the bank has achieved a 16 per cent loan growth in the first half of this year.
Speaking to reporters after announcing a 1.9 billion baht credit facilities for the ready-to-drink bottled green tea manufacturer, ICHITAN Group, he said the higher growth optimism was based on several major Thai and foreign customers interested to obtain financing from the bank.
He said the Thais were interested to expand in Asean in industrial, services and natural resources sectors, while the foreigners were interested in Thai’s hotel and real estate sectors.
As for CIMB Thai’s non-performing loan, he said, it was around 2.4-2.5 per cent now. -- BERNAMA
