WINDHOEK, 26 DEC (NAMPA) – Namibian Prime Minister and President-elect Dr Hage Geingob has donated the meat of four heads of cattle to the senior citizens of four different towns as a sign of goodwill.
A media statement issued by his office on Friday said the recipients are from Otjiwarongo, Otavi, Tsumeb and Grootfontein.
The meat was handed over to the mayors of the four towns on Wednesday for them to distribute to the elderly.
This was the second time that Geingob donated meat to the elderly. Last year’s donation included N.dollars 20 000.
Geingob will be sworn in as Namibian president on 21 March 2015.
