KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 (Bernama) -- AirAsia is performing a system migration ahead of its shift from the Polonia International Airport (MES) to Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) in Medan, Indonesia, on July 25.

The process will involve an airport code switch from MES to KNO, which will take five hours and 30 minutes from 10 pm today to 3.30 am tomorrow western Indonesian Time (GMT+7).

"During the system migration, guests will not be able to purchase seats or perform online check-in for travel from or to Medan, and make changes to their bookings for all destinations using the "Manage my Booking" function.

"Guests are advised to perform the above mentioned actions before July 15 or after July 16," AirAsia said in a statement today.

Guests from or to Medan who have already checked-in for flight period from July 25 onwards are required to recheck-in up to one hour prior to departure time.

After the process has been completed, guests travelling from or to Medan from July 25 onwards would receive updated flight itinerary with the new airport code (KNO), the budget carrier added.
