ADOLF, 17 DEC (NAMPA) – Fans, friends and family members of Namibian musician Ruusa “Blossom” Munalye celebrated the official launch of her new album “Inda Mondambo” at the Adolf settlement in the Oshana Region Saturday evening.
Blossom launched the album, the third in her career, with a free live performance of some of her most popular songs like 'Komuthima Gwomeya' from one of her previous albums, and the title track from her new album 'Inda Mondambo'.
Her cousin, Herman 'Kalimbo' Paulus, who owns the centre where the CD was launched, told Nampa during the function that it is Blossom’s custom to always host her CD launches at home.
Speaking to Nampa in a telephonic interview from the Onelao village on Monday, Blossom expressed happiness with the fact that so many of her local fans were present at Adolf settlement to welcome her and to witness the launch of the CD.
She said the new CD is already in the market, and can be bought for N.dollars 120.
Apart from introducing her new album, Blossom has come to northern Namibia to visit her home-village of Onelao near Adolf settlement for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Blossom’s mother Katrina Nambalu, who is a senior nurse at Oshakati, also attended the launch of the CD.
