AIN DEFLA (Algeria), July 15 (Bernama) -- Algerian Customs are ready to contribute to the promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports through the implementation of a series of special measures, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported, quoting Algerian Minister of Trade, Mustapha Benbada, as saying.

In a statement to the press on the sidelines of a working visit to the Ain Defla province (145-km west of Algiers), Benbada underlined that Customs will contribute to the encouragement of non-hydrocarbon exports through special incentives, including the setting up of a green corridor for exporters at ports and airports.

According to the Trade Minister, the Customs administration is aware of the need for Algeria to diversify its exports and promote its non-hydrocarbon products.

In this regard, Benbada said that the sector of agriculture has to increase, through its different products, the volume of Algeria's non-hydrocarbon exports and become the new source of foreign exchange.
