RUNDU, 09 DEC (NAMPA) – The new All People’s Party (APP) councillor on the Rundu Town Council was sworn-in here on Monday afternoon.
Sizura Andreas Mulinda replaced Cassius Mukena, who resigned from that position on 23 July this year.
He was sworn-in by Rundu mayor Hilka Levi in the presence of the town council’s six other councillors.
The new councillor said shortly after taking the oath of office that he will, to the best of his ability, work in the interest of all Rundu residents.
Mulinda’s swearing-in was witnessed by several APP members and supporters, who flocked to the Rundu Town Council chambers.
Meanwhile, the annual election of office-bearers for the Rundu Town Council, which was postponed twice already, is expected to take place later on Monday afternoon.
