KLCI OPENS LOWER IN TANDEM WITH EASIER CASH MARKET

KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower in tandem with the the easier cash market, dealers said.

At 9.38 am, spot month July 2013 was three points lower at 1,786.5, August 2013 fell 2.5 points to 1,790 and September 2013 lost two points to 1,788.0. December 2013 stood at 1,791. Turnover stood at 615 lots while open interest totalled 35,476 contracts. The underlying FBM KLCI shed 3.0 points to 1,782.65 after opening 3.73 points lower at 1,781.92. -- BERNAMA
