KOTA KINABALU, July 14 (Bernama)-- Although it is only the fourth day of the Ramadan month, some hotels in the city of Kota Kinabalu are already in full swing to hold the iftar buffet for customers.
More than 100 types of foods were available with a wide range selection of dishes and tastes by the hotel including the five-star hotels.
For those who are fond of breaking fast in hotels, food in the form of soup, Sarawak laksa, curry noodles and bubur lambuk were also served.
A check by Bernama found that among the delicacies that were offered included various types of kerabu or salads such as jackfruit, cattle's tripe, mango, green beans and eggs, as well as various salads, petai, selum leaves, long beans and putat leaves.
In addition, foreign tourists especially from Asian countries such as Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan joined together in tasting the scrumptious food for breaking fast.
For those who love spicy food, there are several options to be enjoyed including 'sambal belacan', soy sambal, onions sambal, and anchovy sambal.
The 1Malaysia concept dishes also include roti jala, satay, grilled fish, 'ayam percik', 'roti canai' and 'teh tarik' as well as fruits and local 'kuih' as desserts.
