OSHIKANGO, 28 NOV (NAMPA) - The three polling stations at Oshikango suburb of the Helao Nafidi Town in the Ohangwena Region experienced huge crowds of voters until late Friday evening. Most of these voters at the Oshikango fixed polling stations were young people employed in various businesses at the border post. Presiding officer of the Oshikango Border Post polling station, Victoria Nghifilenya noted that her point also catered for travellers who are on their way to Angola. ?These are mostly truck drivers,? Nghifilenya explained, adding that three more polling stations were supposed to be established at Oshikango to redress the situation. Boas Mwapopi of the Congress of Democrats (CoD) bemoaned that some old people waited for almost six hours in line to be served by the mobile teams at Oushakeneno, Ongudi, Onambili and Immanuel Wahengo in the Ohangwena Region's Ongenga Constituency. The Ohangwena Region has 1 410 election officials for 153 fixed polling stations and 78 mobile teams covering a total of 215 mobile polling points. (NAMPA) NN/ND
