Swapo Presidential candidate Prime Minister Hage Geingob cast his vote at the Katutura Community Hall this morning.
Hage who is tipped by opinion polls to clean sweep the election was accompanied by Swapo Secretary General Nangolo Mbumba and his aides. His arrival at Katutura Community Hall was received by a thunderous applause although he had to keep the crowd calm.
This morning the Founding Father of the Namibian Nation Dr Sam Nujoma also cast his vote in Windhoek earlier.
An assessment by The Villager in most of the polling stations across Windhoek also indicated a general atmosphere of calm with many voters tuning out to elect leaders of their choice.
Voters were seen patiently waiting for their opportunity to cast their ballot.
