WINDHOEK, 28 NOV (NAMPA) - Voters at the Oshatotwa Centre polling station are excited to be making use of the electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the first time.
They will be cast their votes in Presidential and National Assembly elections on Friday.
Namibia is the first country in Africa to make use of the EVMs acquired from India.
The EVMs were already used five times in this country before these elections - in three by-elections and two Local Authority elections.
The Oshatotwa polling station is situated next to the Ombili Police station in the John Pandeni Constituency, and voters are certain that the election process will go by peacefully.
Elections will take place as from 07h00 to 21h00 today.
