The challenge by the Rally for Democracy and Progress to stop the elections from going ahead over the use of the Electronic Voting Machines has been thrown by the High Court.
The judgment was handed down at the high court in Windhoek earlier today.
This means the elections will go ahead unhindered as planned.
The opposition party yesterday raised arguments in court that they wanted the election to be postponed as the electronic voting machines do not have provision for paper trail in the case of a dispute over results.
However the opposition went on to appeal the Court's decision.
