WINDHOEK, 23 NOV (NAMPA) Two baby boys were beaten to death with sticks by a 25-year-old man at the Eengonyo village in the Eenhana Constituency of the Ohangwena Region on Saturday.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson Slogan Matheus said during a media briefing here on Sunday, the suspect has a history of mental illness.
The incident took place at about 16h00.
The deceased were identified as 18-month-old Timoteus Nghiimbihafo Lungameni and Maadi-ovanu Fillipus, 19 months.
They were the suspects nephews, and lived in the same homestead.
The accused was home alone with the two babies and two minor children, aged three and five.

The police rushed to the suspect's homestead, and found the two babies dead.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the nearest hospital for medication.
