ONGWEDIVA, 14 JUL (NAMPA) - Members of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) were busy investigating a case of attempted murder on Sunday after a seriously injured man was found in the area of Eloolo village in the Oshana Region.
Sergeant Thomas Aiyambo of NamPol?s public relations unit in the region confirmed this to Nampa on Sunday, saying the victim was found lying in the field earlier in the day by members of the community.
He had a broken arm and leg.
?The injured person was rushed to the Onandjokwe Hospital and the police officials are trying to track down the suspects by following their footprints from the scene,? Iyambo told this news agency.
He could however not provide much detail about the victim.
Unconfirmed reports have it that the suspects also attempted to set the man?s body alight as a fire was found burning not far from where he was discovered.
