PETALING JAYA, July 12 (Bernama) -- Kelantan skipper Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi may face stern action from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for failing to report for centralised training with the National squad at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, here.
National team manager Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal said Mohd Badhri or better known as 'Piya' had claimed that there was a delay in his flight from Kota Baharu to Kuala Lumpur, yesterday but that is not a strong reason.
"We (FAM) will send him a show cause letter tomorrow and he will have to reply within the given time. Piya will be given a chance to give a good reason for his absence...if his reason is not acceptable there is a possibility that action might be taken," he told reporters after the National squad's training session, here, today.
Piya, named man-of-the-match in the FA Cup final recently, was among 27 players called up by National coach Datuk K. Rajagobal for centralised training ahead of their friendly match against Chonburi FC from Thailand and English Premier League club Chelsea.
