MTC recognised with International Quality Award

 
Mobile Telecommunication Company (MTC Namibia) the leading Namibian Mobile Telecommunications Company has added yet another prestigious award in its cabinet, this time the International Quality Award 
The award ceremony took place in Paris on Tuesday, 27th October 2014, and the award was conferred upon MTC by the Global Trade Leaders Club in recognition of MTC's commitment to quality and excellence of its services.  
 
Headquartered in Madrid Spain, The Global Trade Leaders´ Club is an association of leading businesses, whose membership numbers more than 7500 members from 95 different countries, all working in the sectors of production and services. 
The main aim of this association is to promote trade exchanges and human relationships amongst businessmen from all over the world, focusing specifically on SMEs (Small & Medium-sized Businesses) and without discarding international companies.
 
MTC was granted the awards based on a review by the Global Trade Leaders Club as market leader in its field of industry and having demonstrated leading global standards of quality in its operations 
Accepting the award on behalf of MTC’s, its Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer Tim Ekandjo, where he presented MTC’s credentials to a packed audience of over 7500 leading important world industrial firms from all sectors of the Global Trade Leaders Club.  
Importantly Ekandjo focused his presentation on marketing Namibia as an investor friendly destination highlighting the peace and stability that prevails in Namibia, abundance of natural resources and excellent road and telecommunications infrastructure that makes Namibia ideal for foreign investment.   
“I would also like to encourage you to visit Namibia should you ever wish to take your family to the most beautiful country in Africa”, said Ekandjo. 
The Global Trade Leaders Club is an international association that has been created exclusively to promote trade relations amongst companies across the world. 
The Global Trade Leaders Club encourages the highest degree of collaboration between its members.  
Speaking at the event, the Global Trade Leaders Club Secretary General,  Ricardo Roso Lopez, said that the International Europe Quality Award recognizes and heralds the struggle of all companies (across the world) fighting in the field of quality and gives special recognition and distinction and it is internationally recognized as a coat of arm of exceptional quality to those receiving it.  Enterprises from over 30 countries were awarded this prestigious award of quality this year, and they will carry with them indissolubly linked to their names and trademarks   
Concludes Ekandjo  “MTC intends to use this powerful network not only to their benefit but to all like-minded companies in Namibia who wish to do business or collaborate outside of Namibia, this way we allow others to benefit through us” 
This year 30 international companies have received the award of which includes only three companies are from within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, being (AMB Ltd) from Mauritius and Mais Saude LDA from Mozambique. 
MTC is the first Namibian company to be conferred this award and with the conferment MTC was also formally inducted as a member of the Global Trade Leaders Club
